Champions League Fantasy Football price changes – who has risen in value?

Once the Matchday 2 deadline had passed, the first price increases took effect in #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation, with players who have performed well so far going up in value by either €0.1m or €0.2m.

Nine players in total were given a €0.2m increase. In defence, Andreas Christensen, Nicolás Otamendi and Cristiano all went up in value, in particular being no surprise on account of his assist numbers so far. Cristiano's Sheriff team-mate Adama Traoré has also received a price hike but remains excellent value at €5.7m, while both Jude Bellingham and Christopher Nkunku are more expensive now following excellent starts to their respective UEFA Champions League campaigns but that is unlikely to deter #UCLfantasy managers from snapping them up ahead of Matchday 3.

A pair of Ajax forwards have received the maximum increase as Sébastien Haller and Antony's heroics in the Matchday 1 victory at Sporting CP have been acknowledged. Like with any player who have risen in price, #UCLfantasy managers who already own these assets have the option to sell them on for profit, increasing their overall team value in the process.

A whole host of players have risen by €0.1m, with the majority of price increases among defenders. Again, Sheriff assets feature prominently while notable budget-enablers such as Wolfsburg's Jérôme Roussillon have also crept up in price. At the other end of the spectrum, the most expensive player in #UCLfantasy has nudged up in value even further as Robert Lewandowski is now available for €11.6m.

Still providing incredible value is Salzburg's Karim Adeyemi, who is now priced at €7.1m. Given that the German forward produced a return of 15 #UCLfantasy points against LOSC Lille last time out, he could well be set for another price increase in the near future.
