Villarreal have agreed to pay half the 24-year-old's wages in return for the services of a player who came to prominence with neighbours Valencia CF. "The good news is that everything has been sorted out," Villarreal official José Manuel Llaneza said.
Farinós failure
Farinós joined Inter from Valencia in June 2000 for an estimated €15m but failed to establish himself at the San Siro. However, Villarreal coach Benito Floro had no doubt about taking the player on an initial six-month loan. "He is a great player and will be an excellent signing," he said. Floro's side are 17th in the 20-team Spanish first division, above Rayo Vallecano on goal difference only.
