Long servant
Chiusano, a lawyer, had been a board member at Juventus since 1960 and president of the Bianconeri since 1990 when he replaced Giampiero Boniperti. He was suffering from heart problems and had been in hospital in Turin for 48 hours when he died.
Oversaw European triumph
Chiusano's death comes seven months after that of the club's former honorary president Gianni Agnelli, who died in January. As Juventus president, Chiusano oversaw four Serie A triumphs and a UEFA Champions League success in 1996.
Passionate sportsman
He was a passionate sportsman who enjoyed sailing and skiing as well as football. His favourite present-day player was Alessandro Del Piero, whom he described as "a symbol of today's Juventus".
