New deal
The 30-year-old midfield player has penned a new deal with the Dutch giants that will expire on 30 June 2006. He is one of the club's most experienced players, having moved to Ajax from Willem II along with coach Co Adriaanse in summer 2000.
Club record
In Amsterdam, Galásek has scored 16 goals in 94 appearances, and won the Dutch league, Dutch Cup and Dutch Super Cup in 2002. He also hit the extra-time winner against Austrian side Grazer AK in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round in August.
