'Happy in Greece'
"I am very happy to be in Greece and I want to thank the Olympiacos administration, the head coach and the fans for their warm welcome," said Galletti, who has become the club's second signing of the summer following that of compatriot Lionel Núñez. "We want to prove what we can do on the pitch and I will try my best to prove myself worthy of the trust that has been placed in me. Olympiacos are a big club and the fact that they are playing in next season’s UEFA Champions League played an important role in my decision."
Anatolakis released
The Greek champions agreed to pay a reported €2.5m for the Argentinian midfielder, who had a year left to run on his contract at the Madrid club he joined in 2005 after four seasons at Real Zaragoza. The 27-year-old scored five goals in 62 league appearances in his two seasons at Atlético. Meanwhile, Olympiacos, whose UEFA Champions League campaign will begin in the group stage as a result of their title win, have released 33-year-old defender Georgios Anatolakis. The veteran centre-back had been at the Piraeus-based club since January 1997 winning ten league titles during that time. Anatolakis follows striker Ioannis Okkas out of the club after the 30-year-old striker's spell at the club was also brought to an end after three seasons.
