After Domagoj Vida struck the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie's decisive goal in the eighth minute of added time, winning coach Ante Čačić said he would rather not go through such a stressful experience again. GNK Dinamo Zagreb looked to be heading out at half-time as they trailed at home to competition debutants PFC Ludogorets Razgrad, but two second-half goals – including that late, late effort – were enough for last season's group stage participants to avoid an upset.
Ante Čačić, Dinamo coach
What a crazy match. We showed our character right until the final moment. We showed we could keep our cool even at the most vital times in the last moments of the match. Even so, I hope there won't be any more games as stressful as this one. We conceded twice following a free-kick and it is very difficult to come back under such pressure – it was imperative that we won.
Domagoj Vida, Dinamo defender
It's not so important that I scored – what's important is that we managed to score, a contribution belonging to everyone. We fought until the last drop of blood and I must congratulate all of us. We showed huge character, because we needed this victory.
When I looked at the scoreboard for the last time it was the 90th minute and panic started to set in. I must congratulate [Mehmed] Alispahić on his great cross – I never miss from his crosses. I didn't miss it this time, too. I dedicate the goal to my dad, who told me I would score, but I didn't believe him.
Ante Rukavina, Dinamo forward
I don't remember Dinamo scoring so late in both legs of a tie. When we scored the second one I knew the third would come, but it was pretty nerve-racking with the final whistle so close. But sometimes you don't need the skills, sometimes you just need luck.
Ivaylo Petev, Ludogorets coach
It is very hard to talk after such a game. Of course we made some mistakes in defence, especially for the first Dinamo goal when three of our defenders failed to cover one of their players, but will go on working and we will not give up. It is a pity because Ludogorets were the better team over both legs. I can only be proud of my players.
