AFC Ajax will be without Ryan Babel for their crucial penultimate UEFA Champions League Group D game against Borussia Dortmund after the forward dislocated his shoulder in Eredivisie action at the weekend.
Babel, 25, sustained the injury in the first half of Ajax's 4-2 win at PEC Zwolle on Sunday and, although scans have revealed that he does not require surgery, the Amsterdam club said he will be out "for several weeks".
Frank de Boer's men are third in the section, four points adrift of the Bundesliga champions and three behind Real Madrid CF. They entertain Dortmund on 21 November – seeking to avenge a 1-0 away defeat on matchday one – before visiting Madrid for their final group game on 4 December.
