First of all, I want to thank our fans. They watched us late into the night, sacrificing their sleep. With their prayers and positive energy, we created a thing of beauty. To be honest, we didn't play well in the first half. I think the players thought Manchester United might beat CFR Cluj. When you go 1-0 down and get the news that Cluj are 1-0 up, it's not easy to overcome that.

I can't say much about our performance but I am happy with our desire to win and I congratulate the players. Sometimes you see such games. I'm very pleased that we completed the job on our own instead of waiting for help elsewhere. Earlier I said "we haven't had our final word, there's more to come". You see, Galatasaray still have plenty to say in Europe.

Some games make a team a real team. Some matches unite our communities, even whole countries. Some just go downhill. If you try something and it fails, there should always be plans B, C and D. We have a lot of missing pieces and we can complete those by working harder. It is a long road. We'll try; if we go wrong, we'll try again. With the help of our fans, we can do this.

José Peseiro, Braga coach
We had the match under control and their equaliser came out of nowhere – Galatasaray didn't deserve it. I'm happy with my team and the result does not reflect what happened. We were better in every aspect of the game but they scored twice and we managed just one goal. We had our opponents at our mercy and at times even disoriented.

I don't want to excuse myself but this game reflects our Champions League campaign. We did enough to win. We created chances and dominated apart from the beginning of the second half when Galatasaray pressed us. I only ask that this bad fortune leave us once and for all.

Galatasaray's first goal came against the run of play. We eliminated Porto a few days ago [from the Portuguese Cup] and were very happy. We wanted to win today and there is nothing we did that we should be ashamed of.
