Miguel Torres admitted he was surprised by just how big Olympiacos FC are after joining the Greek champions from Getafe CF on a three-year deal.
"I always had a very positive impression about Olympiacos but upon coming here, I saw that Olympiacos are much more important than I thought," the right-back, 27, said after finalising a reported €500,000 move.
"I will do everything in my power to enjoy all competitions, win matches and help the club to continue growing in stature. We have a very good squad, with great new signings added to a domestic double winning roster."
A product of the Real Madrid CF academy, Torres won two Liga titles with the Merengues before joining Getafe in 2009. He made over 100 appearances in four seasons at the club, the last two under the guidance of Míchel who is now his coach at Olympiacos.
Olympiacos kick off their title defence on 17 August and will participate in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
