Conte disappointed after Juventus drop points

If neither coach was fully satisfied, new Galatasaray AŞ boss Roberto Mancini sounded more positive than Antonio Conte who reprimanded his Juventus side for lacking focus.

Antonio Conte, Juventus coach
We are sorry because we were winning a tough game, a match that became tough because of our mistakes. We are disappointed because they levelled in the end, but that is football. My team were probably tired and were not focused enough in the closing minutes. Now it will be tough, we must be as strong as possible in the next four games. If we play well we will do it; if we don't, then it means the other teams deserve to go through.

There were some individual mistakes tonight but I will talk about this with my players when we analyse the game. We could have been better in the first half, we should have kept the ball more. We did not play the way we are used to. In the end we conceded a goal because we were not focused enough. We have to work hard now, there is not much more to say. It will be tough for us in the Champions League, and the away match against Galatasaray will probably decide who goes through. We have to focus on the league now, then we will start thinking about Real Madrid.

Roberto Mancini, Galatasaray coach
In order to stay alive in the group, we had to play well and I think we did. It is hard to play away to Juventus. Didier Drogba had a good game – it is not easy to play as a lone striker against Juve. He scored a goal, supplied an assist and did a good job.

We will be a better team in the future – the team will work harder. We have some very good players, they just need to have more confidence on the pitch. I just arrived two days ago and it was not an easy week. Coming back into the game, it was not important who was on the pitch but how they played. In the coming days there may be some changes to the team.
