Sergio Ramos, Madrid defender
A victory always lifts the morale of the team. It's true that there are things we need to improve upon but in terms of facing into our next games, there is no better way than to win a game like tonight's. We've now won three out of three in the group and we are keen to seal our passage through to the next round.
We are on the right path in terms of what we are working to achieve which is why we are getting good results. Perhaps after they had a man sent off [early in the second half] the team relaxed a little as the result was in our favour at that stage. Tonight will help us to continue getting better in certain aspects and also to gain more rhythm. I think you will see our best side very soon.
Iker Casillas, Madrid goalkeeper
It wasn't easy, even with them down to ten men in the second half. The first half was different to the second and I think that when they took Andrea Pirlo and Fernando Llorente off, they were thinking along the lines of, let's see what happens. We have nine points from three games and we will go to Turin [on 5 November] with the idea of at least not losing – which would be a good result and would secure our passage through.
Fernando Llorente, Juventus forward
We are not looking great in the standings but we still have our chances of qualifying. There are a lot of games left to play. We've still got Madrid and FC København at home while there will be opportunities to win in Turkey. We leave here with our heads held high and will remain calm while thinking about the next game.
The sending off was a real pity as it was a wonderful match [until that point] with both sides having chances to win. I was really happy with the ovation I received from the fans. Every time I come here I am treated really well. It's a lovely thing to return and play here in Spain.
Carlos Tévez, Juventus forward
We are disappointed with the result but we know we played a good game. It was difficult for us in the second half with ten men. Knowing that we can still qualify we will continue to give our all, starting with the next game. There are no excuses. We made mistakes today and when you make mistakes against this kind of opponent you will always be punished. We need to look to play every game like we did in the first half tonight.
