Wilshere wants one more win for Arsenal

Arsenal FC midfielder Jack Wilshere said Arsenal FC will be going to SSC Napoli on matchday six focused only on victory after he scored both goals in the 2-0 win against Olympique de Marseille. Arsenal are now top of Group F on 12 points, but even though a draw in Naples would be enough to seal progress to the UEFA Champions League last 16, Wilshere said: "We never go into a game saying we want to draw. We want to win every game and it won't be any different over there."

We lost the ball from kick-off which is unusual. When they won the ball so quickly they wanted to go forward quickly and we hit them on the counter with a good ball from Bac [Sagna]. We got the early goal which gave us confidence going into the rest of the game.

We created a lot of chances, especially in the first half. We felt a bit disappointed at half-time to go in with just the one goal. It wasn't just Mesut's penalty [miss], there were a few other chances we should have converted. We kept going and kept going and that's the positive from tonight. It was really unselfish from Mesut [for the second goal]. Sometimes after a penalty you feel like you have to score, but unselfishly he passed it across the goal and it was an easy tap-in for me.

We knew this was going to be a tough group. Any other group we should be through with 12 points. We've got a tough game in Naples. We've seen English teams in the past struggle over there so we know what to expect and we know what we have to do. We never go into a game saying we want to draw. We want to win every game and it won't be any different over there. We will be confident going into the game and hopefully we can get a win.

We've got to keep on going to the end this time. We want to win every game, but especially in the Champions League. It is a massive, massive competition. All the top players want to be playing in it and it is no different here. There is no better place to play than in the Champions League in the last 16 and the quarter-finals and we want to be doing that.

We played well, we created a lot of opportunities. At 1-0 at half-time I think we deserved to have scored one or two more goals, but what was important was the victory. It was a great performance. Everyone was happy. We got the three points, which was great. If we focus when we go to Napoli I think we'll go through. When you play for Arsenal your objective is to win every game so we will go to Napoli to win, to try and finish top of the group, because we know it is important. Usually with 12 points you go through but I think it is a tough group, the hardest.

I'm happy, I feel good, I feel happy in this group, but what is important is the collective. Again today the spirit on the pitch was amazing. Everyone was helping each other and that makes the difference because we have an amazing group. I'm really happy to be part of this team. The philosophy is still the same [as when I was last here]. We are still playing the same football. Arsène Wenger is still here with the same conviction. For me on the pitch it is always the same game so it came naturally. With experience and being five years in Italy learning a lot and trying to improve technically, I hope I am a better player.

It is difficult because it has been a catasotrophic run in the Champions League, we have no points. We were playing against a team that was superior and there is not much to say.

We were playing against a very good Arsenal team who I think are the best team in the group. We are disappointed because we wanted to get something this evening, but they were stronger than us and they showed it from the beginning to the end. The coach said he will bring the young players into the side to give us a bit more experience. We also want to avoid the zero [finishing on no points] as it is humiliating in a competition like the Champions League.

When you lose five matches you could say we aren't up to the level but we have to use this. This game is over and now we have to concentrate on the league. We have a big game at home on Friday against Montpellier so we have to be focused to play a good match against them. [After conceding so early] there were still 90 minutes to play so we could have come back but the way the game went was tough. We must try and win [our last game against Borussia Dortmund] even if it is going to be difficult. We have to give everything to try and get three points.
