Danko Lazović scored twice and set up another as FK Partizan built up a significant UEFA Champions League second qualifying round cushion at home against HB Tórshavn.
The 31-year-old Lazović scored six goals in ten league appearances for the Serbian champions after rejoining his first club in the winter following spells with Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven and FC Zenit, among others. He got the new season off to a fine start as he met Miloš Drinčić's corner with his head to open the scoring against HB on 14 minutes.
The Faroese champions managed to keep their heads above water for a time, though tellingly they did not register a shot on target – or indeed an attempt on goal – in Belgrade. However, they were undone again on 64 minutes. Petar Škuletić nodded Nikola Petrović's cross against the bar, but Lazović drove the rebound into the net. Seven minutes later, Škuletić made it 3-0, heading into the top left corner after Lazović weaved his way into the box and served the ball up for the 1.93m-tall Montenegrin striker.
