Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed Serge Aurier as their second signing this summer after agreeing a loan deal with Toulouse FC.
The 22-year-old right back will fill the void created by Christophe Jallet's departure, after the 30-year-old joined Olympique Lyonnais earlier on Wednesday on a three-year deal. Aurier will provide competition to the current incumbent of the position at Paris, Gregory van der Wiel.
"To play at Paris Saint-Germain alongside these exceptional players is a dream come true," said Aurier. "I'll give my best to help the team reach the top. After my first World Cup I'm experiencing an extraordinary summer."
Aurier, a member of the Ivory Coast World Cup squad and capped 11 times by his country, has an option to make his contract permanent. The former RC Lens player impressed for Toulouse last season, scoring six goals and providing six assists in Ligue 1.
Former Chamois Niortais FC player Jallet, meanwhile, hailed the "ambitious project" that drew him to OL. "It is a project that suits me both from a professional and personal point of view. I spent some great years in Paris and needed a new challenge to find playing time. That why I made this choice."
The French champions will learn their UEFA Champions League group stage opponents on 28 August.
