Gabriele Pin, Galatasaray assistant coach
This is a very important game. We had a remarkable victory against Fenerbahçe [at the weekend] and this boosted our confidence and morale. I am hoping for a good game tomorrow. The Arsenal defeat [4-1 on matchday two] was a turning point for us – it taught us a lesson.

The system is important for any team, but mentality is more important. You can see in Italy and other leagues that they are better tactically, but we are gradually advancing in this area. The players are becoming more settled by the day. We have tried different systems in recent games and may continue to change depending on the match.

Playing against a team like Borussia Dortmund, who have brought an innovative style to Europe, could be a significant source of motivation. With what they have achieved in the UEFA Champions League in the last two or three years, Dortmund are a team you are proud to be able to play against.

Jürgen Klopp, Dortmund coach
A lot of things are being said about our current form – they say that we play badly in the Bundesliga and well in the UEFA Champions League. What I expect above all from my team is to be solid in defence. We have a lot room for improvement in that sense.

I raised my voice towards the players after the Köln game [a 2-1 defeat on Saturday] and gave them a dose of criticism. When we have possession, we know what to do, but when we don't have the ball we make our opponents' job easy. We have to see every game as an opportunity to improve. When we defend better, Dortmund will be the team to beat again.

I have no special plans for any Galatasaray players. We know how well [Wesley] Sneijder can shoot from distance. It will be an emotional and entertaining game.
