Ante Šimundža, Maribor coach
We have been preparing for this special match in the normal way. Apart from Aleš Mejač, everyone trained normally today, so we have our strongest team, who I'm sure will represent Slovenian football decently against a top team like Chelsea.
In London, Chelsea played superbly and were better in every department. I am sure that Chelsea will not hold off and I know José Mourinho wants all three points here in Maribor. Chelsea's injury situation is not so important. For me, all that matters is that we are competitive, that we make the most of our chances and take as many points as possible.
Our priority is the Slovenian league, where we are not playing the way we want at the moment, but Maribor will always put out our best squad for the Champions League, so you can expect us to do our best here also.
José Mourinho, Chelsea manager
The 6-0 win against Maribor in the first match was a fake situation. It was the only match where we played like 'one chance, one goal'. We're not a team who score many goals from a few chances, but against Maribor everything went into the net.
I know Maribor are a very good team. I watched their matches against Sporting and Schalke and also some in the Slovenian league. They play offensively and are especially dangerous at home. I have to convince my players that in the first match everything went our way.
Today my daughter is 18 years old, and of course I'd prefer being with her but that's part of my job as a manager. Part of this enjoyment is to coach the best players and play against the best teams – and never to be satisfied. You can always find mistakes, you can always improve things. I'm quite an easy guy to work with, especially when people have talent. And I have here in Chelsea young talented players, so I love my job.
I like to play away, I enjoy coming to places like Maribor and playing when the home support is strong. I like to go to a country, stadium and city where you don't come often. Slovenia are not regulars in the Champions League, so we also have a responsibility to people here to produce a quality game. I must not forget to congratulate Maribor on their successes in recent years; it's magnificent that such a club is at this level in Europe.
