England goalkeeper Joe Hart has signed a new five-year contract at Manchester City FC, keeping him at the club until 2016.
The 24-year-old, who joined City from Shrewsbury Town FC in 2006, said: "I'm absolutely delighted to have signed a new deal and it is a very exciting time to be a City player. I can't think of myself being anywhere other than City and it really feels like home. I feel very privileged to be staying here for another five years."
Hart played in every Premier League game last season after replacing Shay Given as the club's first-choice keeper, and has made 121 starts in total for the club. England's regular No1 for the past 12 months, Hart and his team-mates will enter the UEFA Champions League group stage after the Blues finished third in England last season.
