Club Atlético de Madrid have planned for the future by securing home-grown trio Koke, Oliver Torres and Javi Manquillo on contracts running until 2018.
Spain midfielder Koke, a 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship winner, is already well established in Diego Simeone's first XI. The 21-year-old Atlético youth product helped the club win the 2012 UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup plus the 2013 Copa del Rey.
Torres, also a midfielder, has been at Atlético since he was 13 and made his senior debut a year ago, aged 17. Capped at U21 level, he was part of Spain's triumphant 2012 UEFA European U19 Championship effort.
Also in that national squad was right-back Manquillo. The 19-year-old received his first Spain U21 call-up on Friday and took his Atlético first-team bow back in 2011. The Rojiblancos begin their UEFA Champions League Group G campaign on 18 September at home to FC Zenit, in a section also containing FC Porto and FK Austria Wien.
