RSC Anderlecht have signed 22-year-old Serbian international midfielder Luka Milivojević on a five-year deal.
Milivojević arrives at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium from FK Crvena zvezda for an undisclosed fee. "RSC Anderlecht are a traditional club who always compete for trophies," said Milivojević, who made 36 Serbian Super League appearances for Crvena zvezda. "They also play in the Champions League. I know there is a lot of pressure here but I can deal with that – I am a natural leader."
Milivojević, capped three times by his country, is likely to fill the void left by former Anderlecht captain Lucas Biglia, who moved to S.S. Lazio last week. "I am delighted with Luka joining us," said coach John van den Brom of the ex-FK Rad starlet. "After Biglia left, we needed a player with leadership capabilities who can guide the team. Despite his young age, he is completely ready for this role."
