European incentive
That figure could rise should the player achieve performance-related incentives such as Betis passing their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round test against French side AS Monaco FC this month. Miguel Ángel has penned a five-year contract, ending four seasons at the Manuel Ruíz de Lopera.

The 26-year-old has been a regular for Málaga since joining from then Segunda División side Levante UD in 2001.
