Top scorer
The 22-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Dutch side and will be presented to the media on his first day of training, 4 July. Rosenberg was the Swedish First Division's leading scorer in the 2004 season with 14 goals in 26 games for Halmstads BK, where he was on loan from Malmö.
Familiar path
He has subsequently returned to the latter club and featured in all eight of the Swedish champions' league matches in 2005. By joining Ajax, Rosenberg travels the same route as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Sweden and Juventus FC forward who moved to the Amsterdam team from Malmö in 2001.
