AFC Ajax defender Nicolai Boilesen will sit out at least their next two UEFA Champions League games after being sidelined by a hamstring tear.

The 19-year-old left-back left the pitch 17 minutes into Sunday's 2-2 Eredivisie draw away to PSV Eindhoven and an MRI scan has confirmed a muscle tear in his right left, ruling Boilesen out for six weeks.

The two-times Danish international will miss the trips to Real Madrid CF on Tuesday 27 September and GNK Dinamo Zagreb on 18 October but could be back when the Croatian champions visit Amsterdam on 2 November. Ajax began Group D with a 0-0 draw against Olympique Lyonnais.
