Borussia Dortmund have continued their preparations for next term's Bundesliga title defence by signing Belgian player of the season Ivan Perišić from Club Brugge KV.
The Croatian international, who scored 22 league goals during the 2010/11 Belgian First League campaign, joins Dortmund on a five-year contract. Though neither club has released further transfer details, Perišić is reported to have cost Dortmund a fee of around €5.5m.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who started his career at HNK Hajduk Split before moving to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and then in 2009 to Club Brugge, earned his first Croatia cap in a UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against Georgia in March.
BVB, who will enter the UEFA Champions League group stage, have also added midfielder Ilkay Gündogan from Bundesliga rivals 1. FC Nürnberg and Chris Löwe from fourth-tier Chemnitzer FC to their ranks.
