United to wait for Neville return

England defender Gary Neville has delayed his comeback from summer surgery after pulling out of Manchester United FC's reserve-team match against Liverpool FC.

Dynamo Kyiv next
The 32-year-old has not played since 17 March and underwent an ankle operation in the close season, but he was thought to be nearing a return to action following calf and thigh problems this term. However, this latest hold-up in his recovery means that Neville's next opportunity to turn out for United's reserves will not be until 1 November – making him unavailable for the UEFA Champions League Group F game at FC Dynamo Kyiv on 23 October. The return fixture at Old Trafford a fortnight later could also come too soon for the England right-back.
