The Scottish Premier League has postponed Rangers FC's game against Gretna FC on Sunday to give Walter Smith's team more time to prepare for a decisive UEFA Champions League tie.
Extra week
The SPL agreed to Rangers' request to switch this weekend's fixture, thereby allowing the Glasgow club an extra week to plan for the Olympique Lyonnais match on 12 December. Rangers must avoid defeat against the French champions at Ibrox in order to retain second place in Group E and qualify for the first knockout round. They are currently level on points with Lyon, having won 3-0 at the Stade de Gerland on Matchday 2.
