FC Barcelona could be without Albert Jorquera for six months after their second-choice goalkeeper suffered a serious knee injury during a friendly match on Saturday night.

Cruciate tear
The 28-year-old tore the cruciate ligaments in his right knee in an unofficial game between representative sides of the Basque country and Catalunya and had to be replaced after 15 minutes. Barcelona will conduct further tests to determine the full extent of the injury, although the initial diagnosis suggests Jorquera – who featured in the 3-1 home win against VfB Stuttgart on UEFA Champions League Matchday 6 – will miss the rest of the season.
