Wenger commits future to Arsenal

Trophy success
Wenger has led the London club for the past seven seasons, winning a trio of English Premiership titles and the FA Cup three times. The new deal means the 55-year-old will be in charge when Arsenal move to their new Emirates stadium from Highbury in August 2006.

"My intention has always been clear," Wenger said. "I love this club and am very happy here - signing a new contract just rubberstamps my desire to take this club forward and fulfil my ambitions. I still have so much to achieve and my target is to drive this club on, not only by sustaining our recent success but building upon it. These are exciting times for Arsenal and I'm proud to be the manager."

Record unbeaten run
The former AS Monaco FC coach has been named manager of the year three times in England and has taken Arsenal into the UEFA Champions League every season during his reign. He also presided over the reigning champions' record 49-game unbeaten run in the English top flight, which ended with last Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Manchester United FC.

Since his arrival in 1996, he has revolutionised the club on and off the pitch.
