Mourinho confirms Drogba doubt

Chelsea FC manager José Mourinho says striker Didier Drogba is unlikely to be fit to face FC Barcelona.

Striker Didier Drogba is unlikely to recover from a thigh injury in time to play in Chelsea FC's UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie against FC Barcelona on Wednesday, manager José Mourinho said today.

'Little chance'
"Drogba is definitely out for [the FA Cup tie against Newcastle United FC on] Sunday and there is little chance for Wednesday," Mourinho said after the English side's training session today. Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen is expected to take Drogba's place in the side.

Robben out
Ivory Coast striker Drogba, who has scored three Champions League goals this season, has not played since being substituted during Chelsea's FA Cup fourth-round victory against Birmingham City FC on 30 January. Mourinho will also be without injured Dutch winger Arjen Robben for Wednesday's first leg at the Camp Nou.
