'Subject to conditions'
Fulham, who had rejected earlier approaches by United for the 25-year-old forward, revealed the deal on their official website yesterday. In today's announcement, the Premiership champions said the transfer was "subject to a number of conditions".
United confident
"Manchester United expect these conditions to be resolved within the next week and will make a further announcement on completion," United said in a statement to the stock exchange. Although the fee has not made public, it is thought to be in the region of €14.5m.
Delighted by move
Saha, who has scored 13 goals for Fulham this season, said: "I am so happy. I never thought this move would happen but I am so pleased it has. I am the happiest man in England. Old Trafford is a lucky ground for me. It's where I started in the Premiership and scored two goals."
European eligibility
The forward, who joined Fulham from FC Metz before the 2000/01 season, will be eligible to play for United in the latter stages of this season's UEFA Champions League. Saha will add extra firepower to a United side who have failed to score in their last two league games and have been displaced at the top of the Premiership by Arsenal FC.
