FC Bayern München have been dealt a blow with the news that striker Ivica Olić will be out for six to eight weeks with a hip injury sustained in Saturday's 5-0 victory against Hamburger SV.

FC Bayern München will be without Croatian international Ivica Olić for their UEFA Champions League play-off decider against FC Zürich after the striker picked up a hip injury during Saturday's 5-0 defeat of Hamburger SV.

The 31-year-old forward sustained the injury while scoring Bayern's fifth goal, and his first in the Bundesliga since May 2010. Olić had only just fully recovered from a knee injury which ruled him out for the majority of last season. Bayern will travel to Switzerland for Tuesday's meeting with Zürich holding a 2-0 advantage from last week's first leg.
