Five-year deal
Kaká arrived in Milan on Saturday and underwent medical tests at the club's training ground before signing a five-year contract. He then watched his new team-mates lose 2-0 in a pre-season friendly against Juventus FC - the side they defeated in the UEFA Champions League final - at the San Siro.
World Cup winner
The 21-year-old midfield player, who has won ten caps for his country, scoring four times, was a member of Luiz Felipe Scolari's victorious 2002 FIFA World Cup squad. "I have signed for a great club and I hope to be part of their history," said Kaká. "There are many great players here and it is like a dream for me to play alongside them."
'Extremely talented'
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was delighted with the signing. "He's young and extremely talented," he said. "He will face tough competition in his position but he's ready to work alongside players like Rui Costa and Rivaldo. He will not be cover for them - he will be in competition with them for a place in the side."
