Chelsea FC have secured another of European football's bright prospects with the acquisition of Christian Atsu from FC Porto for a reported fee of just over €4m.
The 21-year-old forward, who has four goals in 17 caps for Ghana, has penned a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, but will have to wait to pull on the blue jersey as he will immediately join Dutch outfit Vitesse on a season-long loan deal.
Atsu joined the Portuguese champions in January 2010, impressing in the club's academy side before joining Rio Ave FC on loan in 2011/12. There he scored six times in 23 league starts and won the club's player of the season award, earning him an opportunity in Porto's first team last season. He registered once in 17 outings.
