AS Roma have signed Argentinian international centre-back Guillermo Burdisso on loan from CA Rosario Central with a view to a permanent €4.7m transfer next summer.

The 22-year-old follows his older brother to the Italian capital, with Nicolás Burdisso having played on loan at Roma from FC Internazionale Milano last season. The younger sibling scored four goals in 44 games over two campaigns with Rosario Central. He also marked his first and only appearance for Argentina with a goal in a 2-1 friendly victory against Costa Rica in January.

Burdisso joins fellow new recruits Adriano and Fábio Simplício at the Stadio Olimpico ahead of the Giallorossi's UEFA Champions League group stage campaign.
