Liverpool sign defensive duo

Liverpool FC have signed 17-year-old centre-backs Godwin Antwi and Miquel Roque from different Spanish outfits.

Both 17, the pair are expected to make their debuts for the European champions' reserve side against Wrexham FC on Tuesday. Antwi is Ghanaian-born while Roque hails from Spain. Manager Rafael Benítez is keen to boost the available cover in central defence, an area identified as a possible weak link in his squad.
