Internazionale's UEFA Champions League aspirations are in the balance as they conclude their Group B campaign at home to eliminated PSV Eindhoven.

• The Italian club lost at Tottenham on matchday five, meaning they are level with the English club on seven points – but Spurs hold the head-to-head advantage on away goals.

• Inter will finish second if they pick up more points than Spurs manage away to group winners Barcelona.

• Having scored two late goals to beat Tottenham 2-1 at home on matchday one, Inter again came from behind in defeating PSV by the same scoreline. They were defeated 2-0 at Barcelona on matchday three before a 1-1 draw at home to the Spanish side and the 1-0 defeat at Spurs last time out.

• The Barcelona draw ended Inter's three-game winning run in home European games.

• Fourth in Serie A in 2017/18, Inter are the last Italian team to win the UEFA Champions League, in 2010 – their third European Cup triumph, and first in 45 years.

• PSV have lost all but one of their Group B games, drawing 2-2 at home with Tottenham on matchday three. They lost away (4-0) and home (1-2) to Barcelona and 2-1 at home to Inter and at Spurs.

• The Eindhoven club claimed their 24th Dutch league title in 2017/18 – the third time in four seasons they have lifted the Eredivisie shield.

• This is PSV's 16th season in the group stage – more than any other Dutch side. They qualified by beating Belarusian champions BATE Borisov 6-2 on aggregate in the play-offs (3-2 away, 3-0 home).

• The first-leg win at BATE is PSV's only success in 13 European away games (D4 L8).

• Keita Baldé was on target in a 2-2 draw at Roma on 2 December and has three goals in as many Serie A matches.

• On 4 August PSV lost on penalties to Feyenoord in the Johan Cruijff Schaal after a goalless 90 minutes at their own ground in Eindhoven.

• PSV won their first 13 Eredivisie matches this season before that run was ended, again by Feyenoord, who were 2-1 winners in Rotterdam on 3 December. They got back to winning ways with a 6-0 defeat of Excelsior on Friday.

• Luuk de Jong had scored in five successive PSV games, six goals in all, before drawing a blank at Feyenoord. Having scored twice against Excelsior, the striker has 15 goals in his last 16 club appearances, and 14 in his last 13 Eredivisie matches.

• Steven Bergwijn, who was also on target against Excelsior, has three goals in his last four league appearances and seven in this season's Eredivisie –just one short of his total for the whole of last season, his most prolific campaign to date.

• The 4-1 win at De Graafschap on 10 November meant Mark van Bommel eclipsed Morten Olsen's Eredivisie record of 11 successive wins with Ajax from the start of the 1997/98 campaign.
