Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane were in the goals again as Real Madrid, Tottenham, Beşiktaş and Manchester City all secured second wins while Wissam Ben Yedder's hat-trick helped Sevilla to victory.

Sevilla 3-0 Maribor
Sevilla opened up a two-point lead in the section thanks to Wissam Ben Yedder's hat-trick, the third goal a penalty.

Spartak Moskva 1-1 Liverpool
Spartak's 23rd-minute advantage through Fernando's free-kick proved short-lived as Philippe Coutinho soon levelled. Both teams also drew their opening matches.

Group F
Manchester City 2-0 Shakhtar Donetsk
City won the meeting of the group's matchday one winners, courtesy initially of Kevin De Bruyne's goal from distance early in the second half. Andriy Pyatov saved a Sergio Agüero penalty that would have given the Argentinian a joint club-record 177th goal for City – but Raheem Sterling did eventually double the lead.

Napoli 3-1 Feyenoord
Napoli bounced back fast from their opening loss at Shakhtar, striking on seven minutes through Lorenzo Insigne. Dries Merten and José Callejón added further goals in the second period. Sofyan Amrabat scored a late consolation.

Beşiktaş 2-0 RB Leipzig
Beşiktaş, who won their opener at Porto, returned home for a second victory. Both goals came in the first half as Ryan Babel broke the deadlock, before Talisca headed the second following a fine ball from Ricardo Quaresma.

Monaco 0-3 Porto
Vincent Aboubakar netted twice for Porto against their 2004 final victims to get the Portuguese side off the mark in the section, Miguel Layún getting the third. Monaco are level with Leipzig on one point.

Highlights: Dortmund 1-3 Real Madrid

Borussia Dortmund 1-3 Real Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo marked his 150th European game with his 111th and 112th UEFA club competition goals as Madrid made it two wins out of two. Gareth Bale's superb volley gave the visitors the first-half initiative, then Ronaldo struck on 50 minutes, not long before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cut the arrears. However, Ronaldo made sure late on, equalling his two goals last time out against APOEL.

APOEL 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham followed up their triumph over Dortmund as a Harry Kane hat-trick took him to five goals in the group and ensured they joined Madrid on six points ahead of their double-header over the next two matchdays. APOEL and Dortmund are yet to get off the mark.
