Top five best attacks in Europe's top ten leagues

Barcelona and Real Madrid are up there, but there is one team averaging three goals per game this season – though they are not even top of their domestic league.

Who are the most prolific teams in Europe this season? We take a look at the best five attacks in the top ten leagues according to the UEFA rankings.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are up there, as you might expect, with Liverpool, Shakhtar and Anderlecht also reaching the 40 mark. Yet there is one side blowing them all out of the water, a team who brought up their half century over a week ago. Any ideas?

Under Leonardo Jardim, Monaco have been unstoppable in front of goal. Eighteen Ligue 1 games have brought 54 goals – exactly three goals per game. Their only other domestic match this season, in the French League Cup, ended in a 7-0 win.

Yet remarkably, it's only good enough for second spot in Ligue 1 behind Nice. That's a bit of a trend, in fact: of the top ten leagues, the top scorers are top in only four of them. Liverpool, Napoli and Anderlecht's hauls are only good enough for third.
