The first thing to make clear is that we want to take charge of the game, to impose ourselves. I haven't thought once that 'a point will do'. That's not our idea. We want to dominate them and win the match.

[Samir] Nasri trained better today than yesterday and the idea is to evaluate him over the coming 24 hours and play him if he's fine. But I won't take risks. There are games to come, including another chance to qualify in Lyon.

However, I want this game to put us in the next round. I've no wish to go to Lyon needing a result to go through.

Giorgio Chiellini has recovered enough to travel but he'll start on the bench. Higuaín's injury isn't too serious but I didn't want to risk him here and lose him for a month when we have several vital Serie A matches plus another Champions League game which could be important for us. Mandzukic will start up front and Cuadrado will play close to him, depending on what system I choose.

Midway through their matchday four dismissal of Dinamo Zagreb, Sevilla were effectively through to the last 16, only for Lyon's late equaliser at Juventus to change the complexion of the group. Thus, what might have been a gentle tussle for first and second places in Group H has become more problematic: one of these two European 'aristocrats' could still go out.

Watch out for the Vitolo-Dani Alves confrontation down Sevilla's left touchline – returning hero he may be, but Alves will test the Spanish international to the full.
