After a wait of over four months, Fernando Torres finally moved from 99 to 100 goals for Atlético Madrid after scoring in Saturday's 3-1 Liga win against Eibar.

- After a three month wait Fernando Torres finally moved from 99 to 100 goals for Atlético Madrid after netting in Thursday's X-X win over Reus Deportiu in the Copa del Rey. A product of the Rojiblancos' youth system, Torres made his debut for the club aged 17 and scored his first goal in only his second appearance against Albacete. He reached 95 in Atlético colours before departing for Liverpool in 2007, however always vowed to return home one day. The 31-year-old won the 2008 and 2012 UEFA EURO and the 2010 FIFA World Cup with Spain while also lifted the Champions League with Chelsea in 2012 before returning to the Vicente Calderón in January of last year. His latest strike in front of the home fans ensures his name will forever be etched into club history and puts him alongside an illustrious list of names to have notched up a century in the Spanish capital. There were unbridled celebrations at the Estadio Vicente Calderón as the 31-year-old scored his first goal since September, jumping over the advertising boards after the game to give his shirt to trainer Manuel Briñas, the man who first spotted him aged 10. He had to don a jacket in order to conduct his post-match interview, and said: "I grew up here, I used to watch in the stands like the fans here. This day will go down in history and I'll never forget it."

He reached 95 in Atlético colours before departing for Liverpool in 2007, but always vowed to return "home" one day.
The 31-year-old won UEFA EURO 2008, UEFA EURO 2012 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup with Spain, while in 2012 he lifted the UEFA Champions League as a Chelsea player. He returned to the Vicente Calderón, on loan from AC Milan, in January last year.
His latest strike ensures his name will forever be etched into club history and puts him alongside an illustrious list of names to have notched up a century for the Spanish capital side.
