Bayern München playmaker Douglas Costa joined us in a live Q&A on the UEFA Champions League Facebook page as part of this season's campaign to get closer to the stars.
Batman or Superman?
Douglas Costa: Neither. My favourite superhero is The Flash!
If you could play with any footballer, past or present, who would it be and why?
Douglas Costa: Neymar because we have been playing together for a long time in the Brazilian national team.
Best moment so far at Bayern?
Douglas Costa: My first goal, against Hamburg, on the opening weekend of the season.
Craziest team-mate and why?
Douglas Costa: Arturo Vidal because he is very funny and is always the main guy joking around during training.
How did you feel when you were given the No11 shirt at one of the world's biggest clubs? Nervous?
Douglas Costa: [Laughing] All the other numbers were taken, but I'm very happy to be here and wearing the No11 for FC Bayern München.
Is Manuel Neuer unbeatable in training? Can you score past him?
Douglas Costa: I have been training with him for six months and he always shows off his extraordinary goalkeeping skills, whether in practice or in matches.
How did you adapt to life in Germany so quickly?
Douglas Costa: It has been very easy because everyone is so close. Arturo Vidal and Rafinha have been very supportive and still help me a lot day-to-day.
Your best goal?
Douglas Costa: The one I scored against Real Sociedad [an angled drive into the top-left corner in November 2013] while at Shakhtar.
Which player did you want to emulate in your early years?
Douglas Costa: Ronaldinho because he played at Grêmio like I did.
What has it been like working with Josep Guardiola?
Douglas Costa: Fantastic. He is charismatic, very intelligent and a great improviser.
