We knew it would be very tough as we were so close to achieving our goal. We felt great pressure because our fate in this tournament depended on the result of this one match.
Very few people believed in us after such a tough draw so qualifying for the Champions League knockout stage for the first time in 16 years is an enormous achievement for us.
We have a lot of young players, inexperienced in Europe. That's why I'm really proud of my team, who have eliminated such a strong side in Porto. Now we want to prepare well to try to stay in this prestigious tournament a bit longer.
Slaviša Jokanović, Maccabi coach
Dynamo scored a very simple goal and unfortunately we couldn't respond. Our defence was well-organised but we were unable to create chances or find space for our attacks. We were slow getting forward and not good enough with the ball. In the end Dynamo deserved their win.
I put my best side out but this competition is too tough for us. We score plenty of goals in domestic competition but it's harder at this level. We've gained valuable experience and we'll be much more effective if we return to the Champions League or play in the Europa League in the future.
