Aleksandr Yermakovich, BATE coach
We remember the first group game when we lost by a big margin in Germany. My players were impressed by the quality of Leverkusen. They really outplayed us in many departments and after their second goal we lost track of them – in defence and attack. We still have a chance to fight for second place. Before the start of the group stage we said that we would try to compete with Roma and Leverkusen.
Roger Schmidt, Leverkusen coach
This game is vital. I can't say it's the climax of the group, but the result will go a long way to deciding what happens. At Bayer we look only at ourselves and we will stick to that philosophy. BATE deserved their victory against Roma. They were leading 3-0 at half-time and demonstrated their ability to produce interesting and diverse attacks. It was a result that made us change our attitude to BATE.

Both teams can still qualify. BATE impressed in beating Roma 3-2 at home in Borisov on matchday two, and will hope to win to enhance their chances of European football in the spring. Their more experienced visitors, however, start as favourites.
