Unai Emery, Sevilla coach
Manchester City were great. We played well in Manchester but they came here having learned their lessons. I can't complain about my players. We went for the victory from the start, we had chances to equalise but then they scored the third goal.
We still have a chance to get second place in the group. It's between us and Juventus. Manchester City and Juventus are the favourites. It is to be expected that they qualify for the next round. We have to keep working. We are an experienced team with the abilities needed to reach our goals. Some of our new players still have to adapt to the team but we have to be patient.
Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager
I'm very happy. We had lots of opportunities but missed some of them. Lately we haven't been playing well, but we are glad to have qualified with two matches remaining.
It is important to get first place in the group – it is not crucial but it will still be important for us. Last season people said we failed in the Champions League so we will try to get the first position this season.
It's very difficult to beat Sevilla at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. We work every day to keep playing the same way in order to have more chances to win. Maybe Sevilla thought they could beat us but we had the ball a lot and that made it hard for them. We should continue to play the same way in Europe and the Premier League.
