Leo Messi's recovery is going according to plan. There is no update on his injury. Plus I don't worry too much about injuries before Christmas. This season injuries have forced me to use some players more, but come January we will be back to full strength. We will not be playing a 4-4-2; maybe we will try other formations. It is good to be flexible on the pitch.

Of course we know the potential of our opponents and we expect them to play with their best team, but we are completely prepared for this match. Luis Suárez (eight goals in seven games) and Neymar (six in five) ensured Barcelona kept pace with Real Madrid at the Liga summit. The pair have scored Barcelona's last 14 league goals. Andrés Iniesta returned after a month out with a hamstring problem.

Already confirmed as Belarusian champions, BATE did not ease off for the trip to Brest. The result meant they went through their Premier League season undefeated away from home.

The last time these sides met at the Camp Nou, four years ago, Josep Guardiola left out 14 first-team regulars, Barça won 4-0 and Sergi Roberto, currently in superb form, scored his debut UEFA Champions League goal. There is still no Messi but Neymar and Suárez are making a decent fist of filling the void.
