There were no goals in Sunday's Manchester derby but Luis Suárez shone for ten-man Barcelona as the UEFA Champions League teams continued their domestic assignments following a raft of significant games on Saturday. UEFA.com rounds up all the results.
Group A
Paris 4-1 St-Étienne
Ligue 1 leaders Paris extended their unbeaten start to the season with a routine win, kicked off by left-back Layvin Kurzawa's first goal for the club. The capital side then gave themselves breathing space via Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimović, before Lucas responded to a Marco Verratti own goal to send Paris seven points clear.
Celta 1-3 Real Madrid
Real Madrid are the only unbeaten team in the Liga following a 3-1 win at high-flying Celta Vigo. Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Danilo put the Merengues in charge at the break, but the real stand-out performer was Keylor Navas, who made three awe-inspiring saves. The Costa Rican was eventually beaten by a thumping goal by Nolito late on, but Marcelo struck in added time to make it 3-1.

Group B
Darmstadt 0-1 Wolfsburg
Dieter Hecking's side made it three wins in the space of eight days. Wolfsburg struggled to convert possession into chances away against mid-table Darmstadt, but Daniel Caligiuri came on for Julian Draxler and made a swift impact, scoring the only goal of the game on 78 minutes.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City
The 170th Manchester derby failed to ignite as the two clubs played out a goalless draw, with the first shot on target not coming until the 83rd minute. Fourth-placed United had the better of the chances, though, with substitute Jesse Lingard hitting the crossbar and Chris Smalling drawing a save from Joe Hart late on.
Terek 0-0 CSKA
CSKA's lead at the top of the Russian Premier League could be cut after they dropped two points on Sunday. Still unbeaten, Leonid Slutski's men were held to only their third draw in 13 league outings and moved six points clear at the top – but could see that advantage halved when Lokomotiv Moskva entertain Rostov on Monday.
Twente 1-3 PSV
PSV kept Eredivisie leaders Ajax and Feyenoord in their sights with two late goals at out-of-sorts Twente. Phillip Cocu's side led early in the second half as Luuk de Jong got his head to Adam Maher's shot, but Hakim Ziyech equalised all too soon. However, the Enschede side buckled in the closing stages, Jürgen Locadia restoring PSV's lead on 84 minutes before Gáston Pereiro made it 3-1.
Group C
Atlético 2-1 Valencia
Diego Simeone's troops kept themselves within two points of Madrid and Barcelona with an impressive home success, even if they could only turn their domination into two goals. Jackson Martínez and Yannick Carrasco delivered those in the first half, before Paco Alcácer gave the scoreline a closer complexion than it probably merited.
Benfica 0-3 Sporting
The Eagles slipped to their third reverse in seven Portuguese Liga fixtures this term as high-flying Sporting snatched the Lisbon derby spoils. Coached by former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus, the visitors took an early lead via Teófilo Gutiérrez and did the rest of their damage before the interval, Islam Slimani and Bryan Ruiz registering to leave the hosts as low as eighth.
Fenerbahçe 1-1 Galatasaray
Hamza Hamzaoğlu's charges missed the chance to climb top ahead of Beşiktaş's Monday fixture after the Istanbul derby ended all-square. It could have been worse for Cimbom too after they fell behind to Diego's first-half opener, substitute Olcan Adın rescuing the visitors late on to leave Galatasaray a point back in second having played a game more.
Kairat 0-1 Astana
Second-placed Astana boosted their domestic title hopes by claiming a crucial away success against the leaders. Tanat Nuserbayev struck the clincher in Almaty as the visitors moved within two points of Kazakh Premier League frontrunners Kairat, having played a game fewer.
Group D
Juventus 2-0 Atalanta
Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandžukić found the target as Juventus continued their recent revival. The Argentinian forward broke the deadlock on 28 minutes with an effort from the edge of the box before Mandžukić doubled the advantage with a close-range effort after the interval. Paul Pogba missed a late spot kick after Atalanta had Rafael Toloi sent off on 74 minutes, but the defending Italian champions prevailed to climb to 12th in the table.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City
City recorded their first goalless draw in their last 61 Premier League games as they toiled against city neighbours United at Old Trafford. Nicolás Otamendi impressed at the back for Manuel Pellegrini's men, but his forward players found the going much tougher and City now lie top of the table on goal difference alone ahead of Arsenal.
Sevilla 5-0 Getafe
After a dire start to the season, Sevilla are now unbeaten in four Liga games, Kévin Gameiro's first hat-trick for the club the highlight against Getafe, who ended the game with ten men. That was the second of three Sevilla spot-kicks, Éver Banega and Yevhen Konoplyanka converting the others.
Mönchengladbach 3-1 Schalke
Gladbach secured a fifth consecutive Bundesliga victory since interim coach André Schubert took the helm, having opened their campaign with five straight league defeats. Lars Stindl hit the opener on 32 minutes, tapping in the rebound after Ralf Fährmann had saved his spot kick. However, Andreas Christensen's own goal restored parity before Raffael and Julian Korb struck for the Foals in the second half.
Group E
Barcelona 3-1 Eibar
Ten-man Barça secured a comeback victory against Eibar to keep pace with Real Madrid at the top in Spain. Leverkusen 4-3 Stuttgart
Having scored two late goals to secure a 4-4 draw against Roma in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, Leverkusen displayed a taste for drama again at home against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, trailing 2-0 and then 3-1 before goals from Sebastian Boenisch (70), Javier Hernández (71) and Admir Mehmedi (89) secured all three points.
BATE 2-1 Naftan
Dmitri Mozolevski struck twice, one in each half, as the Belarusian champions extended their unbeaten league run to nine games. BATE secured their tenth consecutive championship last time out, and took the lead after just 15 minutes via Mozolevski. Aleksandr Hleb, Vitali Rodionov, Maksim Zhavnerchik and Kaspars Dubra missed the clash through injury.

Robert Lewandowski then headed the third – his 13th Bundesliga strike this term – and Thomas Müller weighed in from the penalty spot.
Atromitos 1-2 Olympiacos

Arsenal 2-1 Everton
The Gunners went temporarily top in England as two headers in the space of two minutes set them on course for a 2-1 victory against Everton. Olivier Giroud flicked in the first from Mesut Özil's ball, and Santi Cazorla provided the assist as Laurent Koscielny got the second on 38 minutes. Ross Barkley's deflected strike gave the Toffees hope, but they could not deny Arsenal a fourth successive win in all competitions.
Rijeka 2-1 Dinamo Zagreb
Zoran Mamić's charges suffered only their third defeat in their last 50 games in all competitions – losing at second-placed Rijeka. Junior Fernandes gave Dinamo a sixth-minute lead, but they lost Jérémy Taravel to a red card on 34 minutes and were pegged back by Miral Samardžić after the break, before Anas Sharbini notched a last-gasp clincher for the hosts. The Croatian champions, in third, are now two points adrift of leaders Hajduk Split.
