Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas has now made more group stage to final UEFA Champions League appearances than any other player.
Casillas's start for Porto in their Group G game against Chelsea means he has played in 152 games in the competition proper, one more than former Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernández. Just two of the Spain goalkeeper's games have come with Porto, the previous 149 while he was between the posts for Real Madrid. He made his debut more than 16 years ago, against Olympiacos on 15 September 1999.
