I'd say I'm pleased with the performance. It was a great game technically, even if I think we can do even better. I'd say everybody got really involved in the game, defending and attacking. Sturaro only came here three months ago and he's grown a lot, which is also great credit to the club.
I think if we want to make the final, we've got to deliver a masterpiece in Madrid. We've laid the foundations. My lads showed great personality, effort and determination.
[Roberto] Pereyra has the legs and he's fast and if we'd needed him, he'd have come in handy. But [Arturo] Vidal gave me more guarantees to hurt them in the middle and force Real out wide.
The result says it's downhill from here – it's not easy to get a result in Madrid. We need to recognise how important this result is. It was a great display from us and we also celebrated winning the league tonight. We've played good football this season and above all I'd say we showed signs we are superior [to Madrid].
Now we prepare for Wednesday knowing we have to play even better than tonight. If everything goes well, I hope to give [Paul] Pogba a bit of a run-out on Saturday because I can't take him to Madrid without him having played a bit.
We will be up against a wounded Real team next Wednesday. We've got to score in Madrid or it's going to be hard for us to come home with a place in the final.
Carlo Ancelotti, Madrid coach
We played really well at times and created some good chances after the first 15 minutes. We've got to do the same again in the return leg. Not just Sergio [Ramos] – we all made more mistakes than usual, even at the back, because of the pressure Juve put us under. But Sergio had a good game.
Juve are in a rich vein of form, they've got a great spirit and it's different from last year in the group stage against them. This is a knockout tie, a semi-final. The crowd can help us at home. It will be a situation like we had last year in the semi-finals and like this season in the quarter-finals. We're confident because we're at home. The fans will help us.
[Gareth Bale] was tired. He's just back from injury and he's too important for us – he's our most dangerous player, and because he was tired I just preferred not to take any risks so I took him off.
They are getting the best out of [Andrea] Pirlo, [Carlos] Tévez and Vidal. They are very difficult to handle as they are dangerous. You've got to be patient
It's a negative result, but it's not so bad. It's all going to be decided at the Bernabéu.
