Cristiano Ronaldo was in supreme form on Sunday as his five goals helped Real Madrid CF slot nine past Granada CF, though FC Barcelona remain top of the Liga pile after recording another win. Paris Saint-Germain maintained their grip on top spot as well, twice battling back to down arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille, while FC Bayern München beat Borussia Dortmund and Juventus enjoyed another triumph.

Club Atlético de Madrid defeated Córdoba CF 2-0 thanks to first-half goals from Antoine Griezmann – his 15th in the Liga this term – and Saúl Ñíguez. Having not conceded in 372 minutes in all competitions, Diego Simeone's men kept themselves within nine points of the summit.
Real Madrid CF scored nine goals for the first time since 1967, Cristiano Ronaldo contributing five, as they swept aside Granada CF 9-1. Karim Benzema also weighed in with a double and Gareth Bale got on the scoresheet as the UEFA Champions League holders returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion.

• Anthony Martial rode to the rescue for AS Monaco FC, who came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with AS Saint-Étienne on Friday night. The principality side lie three points outside of France's third and final UEFA Champions League spot with eight games remaining.
Juventus maintained their 14-point cushion at the top after seeing off Empoli FC 2-0 thanks to strikes from Carlos Tévez and Roberto Pereyra. Tévez's effort was his 17th in Serie A this season, keeping him above Jérémy Ménez as top scorer in Italy.

Paris Saint-Germain needed victory at Olympique de Marseille to remain top dogs in France and they dug deep to snaffle all three points, twice fighting back after André-Pierre Gignac had struck for the hosts. A Jérémy Morel own goal ultimately settled Le Classique, to leave Laurent Blanc's men a point out in front.
FC Barcelona could not match Madrid's fireworks, but they got the result they wanted by edging a 1-0 success at RC Celta de Vigo. Having struck against the Merengues last time out, centre-back Jérémy Mathieu got the all-important decider on 73 minutes to restore Barça's four-point advantage.
