UEFA.com finished transfer deadline day by asking more than 50 million social media followers to name who they thought had been the best signings of the winter window.
Fans of UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League on Facebook, as well as followers of @ChampionsLeague and @EuropaLeague, were invited to make their suggestions using #WinterTransferTop5.
Here are your five:
Fernando Torres (AC Milan to Club Atlético de Madrid, loan)
In an emotional farewell before moving to Liverpool FC, Torres had said: "I hope this is not goodbye but 'see you later'." Seven and a half years later it happened and he has had an immediate impact. Torres is 30 now, but for Atlético fans he will always be 'El Niño'.
Wilfried Bony (Swansea City AFC to Manchester City FC)
The Ivory Coast forward outscored an array of striking talent to finish 2014 as Europe's top domestic marksman for the calendar year despite playing for a mid-table club. Sergio Agüero's propensity for picking up niggling injuries meant Manuel Pellegrini was in the hunt for cover up front and Bony fitted the bill.
Seydou Doumbia (PFC CSKA Moskva to AS Roma)
Bony's international team-mate and a player City need no introduction to, having conceded three Doumbia goals during the UEFA Champions League group stage. The 27-year-old netted 61 times in 95 league games in Russia and adds a new dimension to Roma's impressive attacking arsenal.
Xherdan Shaqiri (FC Bayern München to FC Internazionale Milano, loan)
Inter were shrewd operators in January, starting the first week of 2015 by signing Germany forward Lukas Podolski from Arsenal FC and ending it with the capture of Shaqiri, 23. The midfielder's class is proven and his knack of accumulating trophies uncanny. The UEFA Europa League anyone?
André Schürrle (Chelsea FC to VfL Wolfsburg)
Schürrle endured a frustrating spell at Stamford Bridge, but the reported €30m fee he commanded to make way for Juan Cuadrado speaks volumes for his ability. The 24-year-old is a FIFA World Cup winner, after all, and Wolfsburg's upward trajectory appears set firm.
