A trip to Aalborg BK next week beckons for GNK Dinamo Zagreb after they completed another 2-0 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round win against VMFD Žalgiris.

The Croatian title holders quickly atoned for a goalless first half in Vilnius, 19-year-old Marco Pjaca's incisive ball setting up half-time substitute El Arbi Hilal Soudani – one of Algeria's stars at the recent FIFA World Cup final – to lob Žalgiris goalkeeper Armantas Vitkauskas.

The home side may have feared worse was to come when Dinamo doubled their lead on 49 minutes, Domagoj Antolić's corner met with a powerful finish from 36-year-old captain Josip Šimunić. However, there were to be no further goals, though 17-year-old Dinamo substitute Ante Ćorić hit a post from ten metres eight minutes from time.
